Common Questions

Before you book.

How far in advance should I book?

We are currently booking weekly whitetail hunts at least one to two years in advance. Turkey and waterfowl hunts are typically more flexible. Reach out as early as possible to lock in your preferred dates.

What is the deposit and billing policy?

All invoices come through invoice2go.com. You'll be billed in four equal 25% installments: initial deposit to reserve, 25% in January of your hunt year, 25% in April of your hunt year, and 25% 90 days prior to your hunt. The final invoice also includes any minimum penalty fee add-ons (Elite hunts).

Do I need a Kansas hunting license?

Yes — all hunters need a Kansas hunting license and applicable tags. Whitetail hunts require a deer permit drawn through a preference-point system. We strongly recommend purchasing your Kansas preference point early so you'll be ready to draw a tag.

What is the hunter-to-guide ratio?

All of our hunts are fully guided with a 3:1 hunter-to-guide ratio. Elite hunts further reduce the number of hunters per property for additional pressure relief.

What's included in the hunt price?

Every K&K hunt includes spacious lodge accommodations (WiFi, cable, A/C), all home-cooked meals, snacks and ice in the field, fully guided hunts, in-field transportation, and animal cleaning. Not included: licenses/tags, gratuity, and personal gear.

What's the difference between Elite and Weekly Whitetail hunts?

Elite hunts offer extended days (up to 24 muzzleloader, 12 rifle, or 30 archery), fewer hunters per property, and minimum penalty scores to ensure trophy quality (8-point bucks must score over 140; 9-point over 150). Weekly hunts run 5–6 days at standard pricing.

Which camp will I be at?

K&K runs two camps: East Camp (SE Kansas, Mulberry) and Central Camp (Lyons). Camp assignment depends on your hunt type, dates, and preference. When you book, you'll select the camp directly. Both run the major whitetail seasons; waterfowl is at East Camp; spring turkey runs at both.

Are dietary accommodations available?

Yes — our East Camp cook Karen specializes in gluten-free cooking and can accommodate most dietary needs with advance notice.

Can I bring non-hunting guests?

Non-hunting guests are welcome at the lodge. Please let us know in advance so we can plan accommodations and meals appropriately.

Can I see your trophy gallery?

Yes — visit our gallery for trophy photos from 2017–2025, or check out our videos page for hunt footage.
